Since I’ve sucked up to Tony in at least 4 blog entries, why not another….
Idon’t think its any secret that I have a food and travel-crush on Anthony Bourdain. I mean let’s be serious here. He has the greatest job in the world. He travels around the world, eats exotic (though sometimes downright nasty weird) foods, talks to local, gets drunk….and then does it again. It really doesn’t get much better than that. I used to say that Dave Attell had the best job on his show with ‘Insomniac,’ but he actually would do “work” sometimes and didn’t get to try nearly as many cool foods. Sorry Dave, but Tony has you beat.
Not only is his show back, but he has a new book coming out called Medium Raw, hopefully it’s not about his sexual conquests and about food. I think it’s safe to say, I’ll be in the front of that line, if he goes on a book tour. Of course I’ll just come off as a crazy whackjob who wants to be Tony Bourdain. I’m sure he gets that all the time.
Any time I go somewhere that Tony has been on his show, I am sure to look up any and ALL the places he went, because there will be obvious diamonds in the rough, though by the time he covers it, the place becomes trendy (see what you’ve done!).
