Open-face Buffalo Burger Sandwich

As you can see below, I made a nice little meal of butternut squash gnocchi, and as you may have guessed, being a vegetarian meal and remake, it went to my fiancée. Don’t worry, I stole a few bites.
For myself, I decided to try buffalo for the first time. I had just under 1/2 lbs and decided to make a couple small burger patties, with some spices. I decided to use whole grain bread and make them open face “sandwiches” since there were only two slices of bread. Here is the quick and easy meal.
Ingredients
~ 1/2 lbs ground buffalo
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp chili powder
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/2 romaine lettuce heart
1 small tomato
Dressing (of your choice)
Add paprika, chili powder, salt and pepper to meat. Form two patties. Use grill or grill pan and cook to your desired temperature (medium rare for me).
Toast your whole grain bread and top with the burger patties. Top with any sauce of your choosing. I used vidalia onion tomato basil dressing. Cut up lettuce for salad. Top burger patties with tomato slice and salad with additional.
Enjoy!
