Weekly Blog Roundup – Turkey Edition

Last week, in my round-up, I briefly talked about Thanksgiving. I also tried to spread the word about the twitter hashtag #turkeytalk, in which bloggers discussed their tips, ideas, recipes and more.  The chat came and went and it was a huge success.  You’ll have to check out One Bite at a Time blog for the organizer’s T-day Recipes later.

Anyway, as part of the chat, I talked about some of my T-day ideas and dishes that I think work well.  Last year I made butternut squash gnocchi, and while that was great, this year I plan to make a version of my mac and cheese, except with cheddar cheese and pimentos.  I’ll try and make it prior to T-day, so the recipe will be out for you to use.  Also, like last T-day, Brussels Sprouts make a great side, veggie version or with bacon.  I will be posting soon with this year’s full menu and other ideas.  In the mean time, think about the delicious morning after turkey leftover sandwich, topped with EVERYTHING from the day before.

And, as always, a few links and recipes:

My wife and I may be a vegetarian and a carnivore, but it doesn’t mean we can’t cook a nice meal with both, without compromising taste. I will share my creative meals of the Carnivore and the Vegetarian.
